Noble Odyssey & Inter-Seas Exploration
Elite Dive Team for 2009/2010
The EDT divers are a well trained special unit who have achieved
excellence in diving skills and are featured in underwater filming
as well as photography for our professional documentary films.

These divers must meet 21 standards:

Currently enrolled in good standing in the NSCC
Advanced Open Water Certification (minimum)
Currently insured by Divers Alert Network  (DAN)
Maintains personal Dive Log consistantly - divelogs will be checked
Maintains equipment properly and responsibly, whether owned or rented
Knows proper amount of weights based on conditions and equipment
Able to move quickly and effeciently to don dive equipment with buddy
Performs a pre-dive safety check with self and buddy

Demonstrates excellent buoyancy skills while diving
Maintains consistent buddy team when diving
Demonstrates excellent streamlining while diving with no equipment dangling or trailing
Demonstrates propulsion with a variety of finning and kicking techniques
Demonstrates little or no hand fanning
Abllity to manuever around, under, over and through objects smoothly without
stirring up sediment
Ablity to hover one minute without use of hands or feet

Demonstrates ability to follow instructions
Has excellent underwater communication skills and interactions.
Uses Dive Tables  (RDP) or Computer to track nitrogen accumulation, pressure group and SI
Demonstrates ability in problem solving underwater and solution thinking
Is in excellent physical condition and involved in other physical training outside of diving

Is a positive role model as a diver with exemplary skills, as a Sea Cadet, and within their family and community.
