Combining Emergency First Response skills with Diver Rescue Training  the Rescue Diver must  learn to think first, then act to recover, assist and treat dive accident victms during realistic emergency scenarios
Twelve Sea Cadets finalized their RESCUE DIVER Certification on October 28 by participating in four dive rescue scenarios.

Each scenario   features  one or more  divers in a distress or accident situation.

In- water rescue skills are used
to bring injured SCUBA divers to shore and treat minor to life threatening injuries.
The RESCUE DIVER course is a pivotal step in diver training.

The course is required for
all upper and professional levels of certification, including MASTER DIVER,
DIVEMASTER and INSTRUCTOR.

SCIENTIFIC DIVERS  (AAUS-American Academy of Underwater Sciences) are also required to have RESCUE DIVER certification.

NOBLE ODYSSEY is the only AAUS certification source in the midwest.
