This is a comprehensive 10 day seagoing experience providing hands-on training
in Seamanship and SCUBA diving courses from Advanced Open Water Diver to a range
of  Specialties. This is PADI Certification (Professional Association of Dive Instructors).

NEW FOR 2011  Open Water Diver Certification (Learn to Dive)

This course is for Advanced Open Water Divers (minimum) and divers with proof of substantial diving experience.

Two 5 Day Training Sessions
Two 10 Day SCUBA Training Sessions

The Training Sessions offer several SCUBA and Emergency Care Certifications and Seamanship Training.
Training is conducted  in the Great Lakes on board our 81 ft. Research/Training vessel "PRIDE OF MICHIGAN" as well as smaller support and research craft. Two PADI Dive Instructors and 3 PADI Divemasters along with scientists and professionals  in related underwater disciplines are also on board.

The program is based at the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary  a 448 square-mile area of mighty Lake Huron near Alpena, Michigan.
